In Charleston, two types of property are most coveted: historic homes on the Peninsula and ocean front homes on Kiawah, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms or Folly Beach. While prices have risen dramatically over the past five years for both of these types of properties, buyers from other parts of the country still recognize that our market is undervalued. So, while ocean front properties in Florida are fetching $5 million and up, savvy buyers can still own a piece of Atlantic paradise for considerably less in the Lowcountry.
